New Year Countdown Tradition at AUCMS
It is a common tradition for community around the globe to stay up late and count the seconds down to welcome the New Year. In different culture New Year countdown is celebrated in different ways. In big cities from Moscow in the north to Johannesburg in the south hemisphere as well as the city of Beijing in the east people will gather at a famous spot and watch the old year make an exit. The celebration is usually noisy, filled with fireworks, singing, dancing and parties. The famous Scottish song “Auld Lang Syne” is sang to remind people of friendships as “times gone by” on New Year’s Eve.Allianze University College of Medical Sciences has been upholding it’s own New Year countdown tradition since the year 2010. All Allianze University College of Medical Sciences staff gathers to have dinner to celebrate the success achieved in the past year. The celebration includes speech by the President, performance by staff and students as well as singing and dancing session. As the clock strikes midnight, people will gather and cheer as the New Year arrives.
