Its president, Datuk Dr Zainuddin Md Wazir, said this was in line with the goal of making the university college a world-renowned medical institution.
AUCMS, which will introduce 20 new diploma and degree programmes, has about 3,000 students at present, he told reporters after receiving Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop at its campus here today.
Meanwhile, Nor Mohamed said the government would continue to help private institutions of higher learning to be more competitive.
