Raja Puan Muda of Perlis appointed AUCMS chancellor
Her appointment was announced at a ceremony held at Istana Arau on Wednesday, where Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail was also present.
Tuanku Lailatul was the president of the college before it gained its university college status.
Current president Datuk Dr Zainuddin Wazir, who was previously the chief executive officer, said the appointment of the Raja Puan Muda as the first chancellor was in recognition of her efforts in helping in the development of the university programmes. The university college now has about 3,000 students.{AF}
