Strategic Planning Meeting
Strategic planning is a process of defining the strategy or direction that an organization is planning to take in the future. The process involves top management or organization making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this strategy, including its capital and people. Strategic Planning session is one of annual activities that the management of Allianze University College of Medical Sciences organizes. This year, once again this annual event was held with great success at the Royal Penang Hotel. This is the fifth strategic planning session in the history of the university. It was first held in 2007 at the Seri Serdang campus. The following year 2008, it was held at the Waziria Medical Square soon after the administration moved in to the building in August. Meanwhile in 2009, the strategic planning session took place at Auditorium Dato' Dr. Ahmad Tajuddin Jaafar, Seri Serdang Campus, Kepala Batas, Penang with participation of more than 150 staff.
By the year 2010, the session became one of the popular event with the presence of the Crown Prince of Perlis and the then President of ACMS and now Chancellor of the university, Crown Princess of Perlis. The royal couple not only attended the session as honourable guests but participated actively in the activities planned for the session. The session was then held at Jerai Regency Hotel in Gunung Jerai, Kedah.
The strategic planning sessions was organized with the aim to bring together all the key staff who will then bring an infinite flow of life changing ideas to achieve the vision of the university.
