Celebrating 54 years of Malaysian Independence at AUCMS Library

In conjunction with the Malaysian Independence Day 31st August, the Allianze University College of Medical Sciences Library is organizing several activities to celebrate 54 years of independence. The aim is to increase awareness and national spirit among campus community of Sri Serdang, Waziria Medical Square and School of Physiotherapy. National day is celebrated not only to mark the end of British colony in Federation of Malaya but also to commemorate the formation of Malaysia.
The theme for celebrating Independence Day in 2011 is "1 Malaysia, Transformasi Berjaya, Rakyat Sejahtera” (1 Malaysia, Transformation Success, People Peace). Ms. Nurul Izzati Basir as Acting Librarian informed that she and 4 other library staff will be organizing activities such as Crossword Puzzle, Nationhood Quiz, Video shows, Kenali Tokoh, Melodi Merdeka and Poem Writing Contest at various location on campus. Students and staff are encouraged to participate in the activities.
