Relay For Life - Penang 2011
Relay For Life is an over-night event, celebrating the lives of cancer survivors as well as to remember the lives of loved ones who have lost the battle. This year it was held at Youth Park, Penang on 1st October 2011.
Every year, this event is a high-spirited event where everyone in the community can join in the fight against cancer. This is also a time when people can team up and get together to raise public awareness about cancer in the community.
Over the years, the Relay community has grown to include teams, individuals, sponsors, supporters, volunteers, designers, donors from all walks of life. This includes students and staff from Allianze University College of Medical Sciences. We have been supporting this event for the last 2 years by taking part in the relay. It is hope that by participating in events such as this, medical and allied health sciences students will learn the values and significance of community support in all public healthcare campaign.
