The one-day seminar with counselors in Tawau, Sabah is the last of a series of AUCMS seminars with counselors in Sabah for the year 2011. It is the last but definitely not the least significant as the turn out for school counselors in Tawau is the most (87 total participants) among all four locations in Sabah including Kota Kinabalu, Keningau, Sandakan. The Director of Education Sabah Datuk Dr. Muhiddin Yussin was invited to officiate the closing of this event.

The counselors from Tawau, Balung, Kunak, Semporna and as far as Lahad Datu were overjoyed by the presence of the Datuk Dr. Muhiddin in this seminar. It is a rare opportunity for the Director himself to be able to meet and talk to the counselors from this area. In his speech, Datuk Dr. Muhiddin reminded all educators especially the counselors to be sincere and fully committed in their job because they are responsible for the development of our future generations. He believed that for as long as the educators impart knowledge with full sincerity and educate our young with wisdom they will do much benefit not only to the child but by extension to mankind as a whole.

The Director of Education lauded The Career Seminar with School Counselors as an excellent example of smart partnership between Education Department, Schools and Private Higher Institution and strongly believed that this event should be organized more in the future.
