ACES Rugby Club of AUCMS participated in the Invictus 10's Rugby Tournament held at Sekolah Menengah Teknik, Bukit Minyak. Staff and students of AUCMS plus a few local ‘ruggers’ were selected to represent the ACES for this tournament. Rugby tens, also known as ten-a-side and Xs, is a variant of rugby union in which teams are made up of ten players, typically five forwards and five backs. Matches are much shorter, often of two ten-minute halves. The game is fairly popular in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand and is growing elsewhere.

The ACES team went through grueling battle to win all four games before qualifying for the final. The final match against Penang’s SUKMA team was never expected as the team is one of the best team in the region. Nonetheless, the ACES tightened our boots, gather our strengths and marched into the field with our spirits soaring. After standing tied 2-2 in a long ten minutes match of the second halves, the ACES scored a winning point. It was a sweet victory when the ACES team was declared champion as the final whistle sounded.
