Established in 2009 by a few young, strong and courageous students, AUCMS Rugby Club now boast a full line of ambitious players. Why play rugby you might ask? Well, rugby is a sport that really makes you meet and know other players better after every hard fought game. That is why it is called rugby union! Rugby is the sport that united the country of South Africa in 1995 between the whites and the blacks when they won the world cup under President Mandella's leadership.
The AUCMS rugby team is named “ACES” and its members come together a few evenings a week at the field in Bertam Putra to practice and hone their skills and attacking prowess. Most of the young and inexperienced players in the team benefited from the tips and tricks shared by the more experienced lads in the clubs.
Recently, the club participated in the Penang Rugby League 2011. Four of the ACES members did exceptionally well in the championship and was selected to try for the SUKMA 2011. Hurrah for the ACES!
